Rachelle McCoy is creative market strategist and manager based in Indiana who helps lead small businesses and micro influencers to success, mainly powerhouse womxn. She is the creative director of Cultivée, a creative studio she founded as part of her vision to bring forth other peoples’ visions into reality.

Introduction 👋
My name is Rachelle McCoy and my pronouns are she/her. I guess my expertise is in marketing and PR and I have been working professionally in this industry for about three years. I realized that I wanted to become a Creative when I knew that I couldn't draw anything in the world and I still wanted to use my creative sense just in a different aspect.
Creativity in Many Forms ٩(｡•́‿•̀｡)۶
And thankfully my dad kind of introduced me to this marketing world where I can still influence people but in the right way to purchase but also to be inspired by other people in their businesses. I started with my dad's business who was in welding and since it's just a niche industry, I wasn't a really big fan of it. So I started to do little apprenticeships with other people in the marketing world, whether that's with mentors, or just taking unpaid internships.
And then I startd to learn more about what the logistics of marketing was, and then moved on from there. The reason why I first pivoted from just focusing on people and local areas, to more of a global aspect, was just because I was able or, COVID kind of happened. I realized that there's much more opportunities than just the local area and one of the lessons that I've learned in this creative world is that not everyone's “no” is supposed to affect you as much as it did, affects me. At the end of the day, like their “no” is a “yes” from somebody else.
InCreative Journey 🚶
One of the things that I got help from the inCreative Co. creative members is pricing. I always underpriced myself because I didn't think that the prices I was providing or wanted to provide was what how much value I was providing other people. When I was working with one of my close business friends and I was doing templates, social media templates for her. I told her my price, and she was like, “that's too low, you need to up your price”. So what I did was I went to the inCreative Co. members and just asked them, hey, “what do you price yourself at? And what's the reason for that?”
And the members that I reached out to were very, very helpful and very honest and blunt with me, and those are things like I just needed to hear. So I'm at the point where I'm pricing yourself at where I belong. I think once I feel more comfortable upprice my prices, then I think I'm gonna go back and say, “Hey, guys, what do you think about this now?” because it's just such a very open community.
